Radical acceptance is just as it sounds. Radically accepting that it is what it is and that what has happened has happened. You may not like someone's lifestyle or behavior but its not for you to like or dislike. When you accept its not you condoning something, it is releasing the attachement that you have developed.
Working on distress tolerance and processing your feelings by actually feeling them and taking accountability for them while accepting the situation IS where balance arises.
