Non attachment is appreciating things, people and circumstances as they are and not attaching an expecation to the outcome.  This isn't something that is achieved overnight since trauma leads to attachment styles and issues.

Things to help with non attachment are:

meditation, acceptance, mindfulness and self love.  The daily wellness practice allows you to love and appreciate withouth the need to attach yourself to an outcome.
