It is amazing to have goals and dreams and work towards reaching them. It becomes problematic when you are so married to the outcome that when one thing goes off course you fall apart and often throw in the towel. Your outcome has to be a simple bench marker that shows your progress.
The journey itself is the reward and the lesson. The setbacks and redirections and even the things that never come to fruition IS the reward. If you intentions are not clear, the goal is just a dream and the details are murky at best.
When you are focused on the outcome, you are missing the opportunites that come from having to pivot and redirect. The outcome should just be another direction marker of your progress nothing more.
